Glenwood Hot Springs

2010, Glenwood Springs, CO… Established in 1888, Glenwood Hot Springs embodies the largest mineral hot springs pool in the world, the new Spa of the Rockies, a 107-room Lodge, the health-based Athletic Club, a retail Sport Shop, the poolside Grill, and a challenging miniature golf course. Situated next to the Colorado River and surrounded by the Rocky Mountains, Glenwood Hot Springs is considered an icon in Glenwood Springs, Colorado.

The Glenwood Hot Springs Pool measures over two blocks long. The heated waters are 90°-93°F (32°-34°C) in the large pool and 104°F (40°C) in the smaller, therapy pool. Two water slides, inner tubes, diving boards, and bubble chairs bring out the kid in everyone.  Visitors have access to modern locker room facilities, lounge chairs, towel service, and swim suit rentals.

The Spa of the Rockies in the historic sandstone bath house, features nine treatment rooms including one specialized hydrotherapy treatment room for Vichy shower treatments. Five private, claw-foot hydrotherapy tubs are used for mineral baths and herbal soaks. Other treatments include facials, body polishes, masks and wraps, manicures and pedicures, as well as body waxing and make-up application. The sophisticated, yet comfortable and welcoming, spa focuses on wellness and natural health practices, which have a deep-rooted history at Glenwood Hot Springs.

Just a few steps away, the Glenwood Hot Springs Lodge provides comfortable accommodations with meeting facilities, guest laundry, and underground or off-street parking. This geothermal heated, smoke-free hotel has spacious rooms, patios/balconies, free high-speed internet connection, security safes, irons with ironing boards, coffee makers, and refrigerators. Deluxe rooms and suites all have their own "hot springs" with plush pillow-top mattresses.
The Glenwood Hot Springs Lodge received a face lift in 2008 with new carpet, wallpaper, furniture, lighting décor, wall trim and curtains in the hallways and lobby area. Lodge and pool packages start at $130 per room per nigh t and include a room with two queen-size beds at the Glenwood Hot Springs Lodge, unlimited swimming at the Glenwood Hot Springs Pool, and continental breakfast at the poolside Glenwood Hot Springs Grill.

Since Glenwood Hot Springs is open year-round, visitors can enjoy the facilities no matter what the temperature outside. Locals look forward to a soak in the Glenwood Hot Springs Pool in the winter, when steam billows in thick clouds as snowflakes melt into the water. Some practice a Nordic tradition of emerging from the warm waters only to roll around in the snow on the deck. What a great way to “chill out”! Going to the Glenwood Hot Springs on New Year’s Eve has become a popular family-oriented, alcohol-free tradition, when revelers ring in the New Year at the stroke of midnight, complete with noise makers.

Sunny skies and toasty summer temperatures encourage visitors to stake out spots on the large, grassy lawn near the Glenwood Hot Springs Pool. Picnic coolers are welcome, but glass and alcohol are not permitted. The value-priced Summer Splash (pool admission, fountain drink, 8-punch waterslide ticket) or Summer Super Splash (pool admission, fountain drink, 8-inch pizza and all-day waterslide pass) are great deals for visitors—whether they are planning to spend a couple hours or an entire day at Glenwood Hot Springs. Giant soft-serve ice-cream cones from the seasonal Snack Bar are a refreshing, warm-weather treat.
